we wanted to start this new year the best way we can and decided to welcome the italian stallion christian lisco to our roster! acid cuts ep is a raw tour de force and fans of analog gear, distorted drums with acid bass-lines and soulful vocal samples will surely get their moneys worth! remix support by the mysterious high density system offering a totally new atmosphere of -66- keeping that same raw feeling.

the 2nd release on 45 live records, and we welcome the amazing talent christian madden into the family. christian released his lp “the wrecking place” digitally in january 2017 that these 2 tracks are taken from and which most definitely deserved to be pressed onto vinyl.

the fifth release in this tribute series to the techno legend christian morgenstern is here. side a kicks off with a trippy version of morgenstern’s “spiegelkerker”, by konsequent label chief maral salmassi - a carefully set psychedelic trap, building up gently just to drag you through its tunnelling groove, inside the eye of the hurricane. twr72’s remix of “ex machina” on b1, merges the interlocking samples of the original in a vortex, spiral around the pounding kick, rolling right into the heart of the milky way.the final track, a remastered version of morgenstern’s “girls got rhythm” sets the pace, with a dense groove and pounding beats, accenting a colourful cluster of house elements, with streams of sparkling metallic percussion.

the legendary duo christian smith & john selway have teamed up again for a powerful single. on this ep they delivered 3 tracks that range from detroit inspired bassline techno in metamorphosis to dark peak time business in sprawl. firing up all cylinders!

previously spotted on labels such as john dimas elephant moon and nil, christian ab delivers his second full solo ep and sounds like a far more mature producer. warm, hardware deep house is the order of the day, and -luna de leo- makes a fine case in point with its moog-esque basslines and plush pads. -flysergic- is a playful jam with techy undertones in its sci-fi synth work, and -anxwhyitme- takes an edgier route into bugging electronic pulses and eerie harmonics. -sunshine song- completes the set with a sweet natured trip into beat-laden deep house for the good times crowd.

cape town duo christian tiger school provide the 3rd part of the lissoms series. both graduates of the red bull music academy and part of the sónar line-up this summer - they’ve previously posted an lp for the mighty tommy boy & remixes for subpop, and had their work remixed by luminaries like mndsgn.
“if you want to” embodies their sound and the fervent cape town beats scene aptly - esoteric uk influences sit amongst ambient soundscapes and a cracked breakbeat, pinned on a looped bassline - growing in intensity but using the most subtle of touches.
gacha bakradze’s version posits the track somewhere between slow-burning disco and krautrock, framing the character of the original with loose jams on his array of studio gear.
finally, edmondson’s version is a minimal, 2-steppy take honed by the berlin sounds which have pricked his ears for the last couple of years.
